Lisa Marie Presley says she’s pregnant, not fat, and she wants everyone to know it. So much so, in fact, that she’s filing a lawsuit against the U.K.’s Daily Mail magazine for writing that she was “growing like her dad”, whose notorious weight gain led to health complications and eventually his death.
The singer is furious, she says, because the “slanderous and degrading stories, horribly manipulated pictures and articles in the media” compelled her to reveal that she’s expecting her third child.
She’s due this fall which, if I’m doing my math right, means she’s 3 months pregnant at the very most. Just three months.
I wonder if her attorneys have explained to her that truth is an absolute defense to libel?
