Just hours after being diagnosed with emphysema, self-destructive singer Amy Winehouse left the hospital with a cigarette dangling from her lips.
The singer’s father is reportedly worried his daughter will be dead within three months. “With smoking the crack cocaine and the cigarettes her lungs are all gunked up,” he told the Daily Mail.
Winehouse, whose album Back to Black is considered one of the finest soul albums recorded in years, seems dismissive of doctor’s warnings that she’ll not only ruin her voice if she continues to smoke, but will most likely die from the habit.
Winehouse is scheduled to sing at the Glastonbury music festival and also at Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday party on Friday.
