Recent rehab releasee Amy Winehouse was granted a visa to enter the U.S.
Winehouse’s application for a visa was declined earlier this week for “use and abuse of narcotics”. But the U.S. Department of Homeland Security “rapidly” processed her application for a visa and, voila, it was approved.
Unfortunately, the approval came barely 48 hours prior to the awards show in which she is nominated for a staggering six (6) awards and that’s a bit too late for her to rearrange her schedule. As a result, Winehouse plans to continue with her initial intention to perform and accept her awards, if any, via live video.
