Dr. Phil is sorry that he forced an unwilling Britney Spears to meet him while she was in the hospital under observation.
He’s sorry he called the press ahead of time to ensure they’d know whom he was seeing out of the many celebrities — current and not-so-current — being treated at Cedars Sinai at the time.
He’s sooper dooper sorry he did so when he doesn’t have in-patient privileges, which means he had no authority to intrude into Britney’s room and was legally trespassing once the singer made it clear she had no intention of talking with him.
He’s also really, really sorry he issued a press release discussing the Pop Tart’s medical condition, a release which happens to have declared that Britney was in “dire need of medical and psychological intervention” before he’d ever even spoken with her.
But what he’s probably most sorry about?
That people who watch such things quickly realized that Dr. Phil doesn’t have a license to practice in California, which is a felony in that State.
Aw, shucks, Doc.
By the way, where is your show taped… Hmmmm????

He’s only practicing psychology if he’s contracted with them as a provider. Otherwise he’s just an obnoxious loudmouth with an opinion like the rest of us. As it stands he’s just an overeducated talk show host.
