Two songs from Britney’s “comeback” album have hit the air waves. Not surprisingly, both tracks capture Britney’s trashy side right at a time in her life when, thanks to the custody battle with K-Fed, she least needs it.
The first cut, “Gimme More” (listen to it here) starts off with “It’s Britney, Bitch” then proceeds to promise “If you’re on a mission/You’ve got my permission”. No doubt she stayed up all night thinking up that one, y’all.
But let’s not dismiss Britney’s songwriting skillz just yet. She does, after all, show her more passionate, adult side in “Cold as Fire” (listen to it here). Why, I can only imagine the amount of vodka-laced Red Bull and fried chicken she had to snarf down to come up with such lyrical pearls as: “Little legend you can look but don’t touch because/ I’m cold as fire baby and hot as ice/ If you’ve ever been to heaven this is twice as nice.”
In fact, maybe the chicken is to blame for Britney waxing poetical about her oral skills: “I’m just the girl with the ability to drive a man crazy/ Make him **** in my mouth/ Make him my new baby.”
For chrissakes, Britney, if that’s the best you’re capable of just keep the damn chicken leg in your mouth and spare us all.
