
After stunning folks at the Emmy Awards with her slim, post-baby physique, Jamie Pressley has owned up to using a dirty little secret shared by millions of women worldwide: the Cabbage Soup diet. Well, that and ten hours a week in the gym.
Gee, low calorie food and lots of exercise. Who knew it worked?
For those of you who just can’t wait to enjoy the excruciating gastrointestinal cramps, flatulence and runs brought on by the soup, the recipe and diet are below the fold. Just promise to stay downwind from us, OK?
Cabbage Soup Diet
Ingredients
3 large onions
1 large green pepper
1 head celery
Half a dark green cabbage
Tin of chopped tomatoes
1 pack onion soup mix
3 vegetable stock cubes
Directions
1. Cut all vegetables into small pieces.
2. Put all ingredients, including vegetables, in a sauce pan.
3. Simmer until veggies are soft.
Diet (only these foods plus calorie-free liquids):
Day One: All-you-can-eat soup and fruit.
Day Two: All-you-can-eat soup and vegetables (cooked any way), plus a baked potato at dinner.
Day Three: Combine days 1 and 2 but skip the potato.
Day Four: All-you-can-eat soup and up to 8 bananas. That’s it.
Day Five: Up to 20 oz of lean steak or chicken plus all-you-can-eat soup.
Day Six: Same as Day Five plus salad at dinner.
Day Seven: Still more soup plus brown rice, fresh vegetables and unsweetened fruit. (No potatoes.)
