Kirstie Alley, the former heavyweight television star of Fat Actress, is out as the spokesperson for Jenny Craig’s diet products. Says the diet company’s representative:
“Although Kirstie will not appear in future advertising endeavours for us, she does remain on Jenny Craig’s maintenance program and is confident that our program has helped her incorporate positive lifestyle changes that should last a lifetime.”
Valerie Bertinelli has appeared in recent Jenny Craig ads touting her 30 pound weight loss. She’ll now be sharing the limelight as the company’s spokeswoman with Queen Latifah, who’d previously boasted about her plus-size body.
UPDATE: Ah-ha! Turns out Kirstie left Jenny Craig because she plans to launch her own weight loss brand next year.
