Matthew McConaughey will be taking over Owen Wilson’s role in Tropic Thunder, a movie about actors who become possessed by the onscreen counterparts they’re portraying.
The part is a small one, described as a cameo. Ben Stiller is both directing and starring in the movie along with Robert Downey, Jr., Jack Black and Nick Nolte.
Wilson, meanwhile, is continuing to recover from his very-public meltdown and suicide attempt. The actor is said to have rejected residential rehab in favor of recuperating at his Santa Monica home.
